Task Number 1: A class cooperative activity!

  1. With your class listen to the teacher read a variety of stories about Clifford the Big Red Dog .
  2. Identify things that Clifford and Emily Elizabeth do that are friendly things. 
  3. Identify the things their friends do that are friendly things, too.
  4. Make a list of the things you identify.

 
Process:
  • Ask the teacher to read a Clifford story to the class. 
  • When the story is finished name the things that happened in the story that are things friends do for each other.
  • Ask the teacher to record these things on large chart paper in a list called "The Friendship List". 
  •  Ask the teacher to post the list for the whole class to see. 

 
Places to find Clifford books: 
  1. Look in the library. 
  2. Bring any from home that you have to share.
