    1. Make a story plan to help you make your own Franklin story. Decide how you are going to begin your story. Then plan the middle of your story .Choose a problem that Franklin will have to solve. Choose some different solutions to this problem. Then plan the ending to your story. Have Franklin solve the problem!
    2. Now use your story plan to write your story. Follow your plan. Put in lots of adjectives and adverbs. Use some of the authors signposts for the beginning, middle and ending. Check your spelling and put in the capitals and periods. Make sure your middle has more then one thing happening in it.
    3. Sit with the teacher and go over your story. Fix any errors and add and change some of your ideas. The teacher will help you do this. This is called editing your story.
    4. Choose a computer software program to copy your story in. Make the pictures to go with your story. Discuss with your teacher what writing you will put on each page. Number your pages and make sure your pictures match the writing. Do not forget to make a title page for your story.
    5. Sit with the teacher and edit your story that you have published on the computer. Save it and the print it.
    6. With the teacher's help put it together.
